Because we were so impressed with all of the applicants, Brown Financial Security added an extra $900 to give to our Finalists! Congratulations to Sara Johnson, Brooke Thomson, and Mischa Hinds who each received $300 towards the pursuit of their own legacies.

We want to support and celebrate you!
This year, because we know the pandemic has changed us all, Brown Financial Security is adding a special award, called the “Work Hard, Leave a Legacy” bursary for a graduate of Waterdown District High School 2021. We will award one student with $2,500 to help them continue to work hard and leave a legacy to their community.
We’d love to hear your story about how you have been working hard to take what you’ve learned from the COVID situation while planning to build a legacy for a better future, for yourself and your community. Apply: if you meet the criteria, and are the winning student, we’ll give you some financial assistance to make it happen ($2,200). As well, we’ll help you make a donation ($300) to the charity of your choice today.

**Students pursuing post-secondary education on a part-time basis are normally not eligible for consideration. Recipients must be accepted by a college or university and begin attending in September of 2021.
